Terms of Use

The rules for using connectnpo.com and the sample websites. Work we do for a client is governed by a separate written agreement, not by this page.

Last updated 17 September 2026 · Daybooks Web Solutions, LLC, doing business as connectNPO

The short version

  • This website is information. A price or a plan becomes a commitment only when you accept our Service Agreement, which happens when you pay, after you have seen your finished site.
  • The sample sites are invented organizations with sample documents. Look around freely; do not try to break them.
  • Nothing here is legal, tax, accounting or Form 990 advice.

Who we are, and what you are agreeing to

connectnpo.com is run by Daybooks Web Solutions, LLC, a California limited liability company doing business as connectNPO ("connectNPO", "we", "us"). These terms apply to connectnpo.com and the sample websites on its subdomains (together, "the site").

By using the site you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to send us a form on behalf of an organization.

What the site is

The site describes what connectNPO does and how we work. We try to keep it accurate and current, but it is general information, it can change without notice, and it is not an offer that can be accepted by filling in a form.

Prices, scope and timelines become binding only when you accept our Service Agreement and the written proposal that goes with it. You accept them on the payment page, after you have seen your finished site; a copy signed by both of us is available if your organization wants one. If anything on the site differs from that agreement, the agreement wins.

Not professional advice

Nothing on the site, in our blog, or in a reply to an inquiry is legal, tax, accounting or Form 990 advice. We publish documents a nonprofit already has; we do not prepare, review or interpret them. Decisions about filings, disclosures and compliance belong to your organization and its own advisers.

Accounting services are offered separately under the GivingArc name, under their own engagement terms.

The sample websites

  • Every organization, person, number and document on a sample site is invented and labelled as such. The sample filings are not real IRS filings and must not be used or presented as real.
  • Forms on the sample sites send nothing and create no enrolment, booking, gift, referral or other relationship with anyone.
  • The staff preview is a read-only demonstration. Do not try to save changes, upload files, get around the read-only limits, or reach any area beyond what the preview opens for you.
  • A feature shown on a sample site shows what we can build. It is not a promise that a particular project will include it.

What you send us

When you fill in a form or email us, you confirm that the information is accurate, that you are allowed to share it, and that you have the authority to inquire on behalf of the organization you name.

Please do not use the forms to send donor lists, other people's personal details, passwords or payment information. If a project needs any of that, we will arrange a suitable way to transfer it.

Sending a form does not make you a client and does not oblige either of us to go further.

Our content and yours

The text, design, code, images and sample websites on the site belong to us or to those who licensed them to us. You may read, link to and share pages, and quote short passages with credit. Please do not copy the site or the sample sites wholesale, present our work as your own, or use the connectNPO name or logo in a way that suggests we endorse you.

What you send us remains yours. You give us permission to use it to reply to you and, if you become a client, to do the work.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

  • break, overload, probe or scan the site, or try to reach areas that are not public;
  • use automated tools to submit forms or to copy the site in bulk;
  • send us unlawful, misleading or harmful material, or anything containing malware;
  • use the site to impersonate a real organization or person.

We may block access for anyone who does.

Work for clients

When we build, host or maintain a website for a nonprofit, the terms of that work, including fees, ownership of the finished site, hosting, support and how either side can end it, are set out in our Service Agreement and the written proposal we send you. That agreement, not this page, governs the work.

No warranties

The site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it, express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or suited to a particular purpose. You use it at your own risk.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Daybooks Web Solutions, LLC and its members, employees and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to one hundred US dollars (US $100). Some places do not allow these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Liability under a client agreement is governed by that agreement.

If your use causes a claim

If someone brings a claim against us because you misused the site or broke these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

If you have a complaint, please write to [email protected] first; most things can be sorted out in a conversation, and we will try for at least 30 days. If that fails, any dispute about the site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and both of us accept the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. This version is dated 17 September 2026.

General

If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the site itself.
