Sample 09 · Counseling

Larkspur Family CounselingA sample counseling-center website. The organization is invented.

A nonprofit counseling center in a county-seat town: six licensed counselors, a sliding fee from $30 to $140, groups, a budget of about $600,000. The website never asks why someone is calling, and puts the crisis line before anything else.

Brand sheet

One name, one look, one voice.

Every sample has its own brand, set once and used the same way on every page, from the home page to the financials. It is the same work we do for your organization.

  • A name and a wordmark, set in one display type
  • Four or five colours, each with one job
  • One type for reading, chosen for the people the site serves
  • One line that says what the organization does, used in search, listings and the share preview

What to try

Six things to press, in order.

Each one is a working feature, and each one is an example of what we build. Nothing you do on the site is recorded.

01

988 before anything else

The crisis line sits above the fold on every page in the words the line asks for, with the county line beside it. No popup, no footer.

Try: load any page; it is the first line.
Home →
The home page with the 988 line
02

The wait, in public

One number staff check on Mondays. The home page, Get help and For referrers read it, and the page says when it was last checked.

Try: find the wait on three pages; it is the same record.
Get help →
The Get help page with the wait card
03

A form that asks nothing clinical

Name, phone, a good time to call. The page says why. The real intake happens by phone or in the practice portal, never on this website.

Try: fill it with the sample; the result explains what happens next.
The call-back form →
The call-back form
04

Groups with a state

Open, waitlist or full, with the next date, edited on one sheet. A full group has no join link; an open one goes to the call-back form preset.

Try: ask about an open group; the form arrives preset.

05

Counselors listed the way the rule asks

Licence type and number, languages, focus, days, and who is taking new clients. No faces, on purpose.

Try: count who is taking new clients; the home line says the same.
Counselors →
The Counselors page
06

A referral that carries nothing about the client

For schools, courts and physicians: your name and organization, how the client will reach the office, and a consent tick. No client field exists.

Try: submit without the tick.

The button below signs you in to the real staff area as sample staff. You see what the organization's staff would see: one menu, a tile per tool, and the checks.

  • 01Tiles for The wait, Groups, Counselors, Services, Fee table, Numbers, Financial documents, Year-end
  • 02Checks: the wait older than a week, a full group with no next date, a counselor without a licence number
  • 03No texting screen on this demo, by design: nothing here holds a client's number
  • 04Press Update on anything and the screen says "Nothing was saved"

Sample video

The wait, in a minute.

A sample of the one-minute videos in the plan: the door, the wait, and what a session really costs, told from the center\u2019s own numbers.

  1. 1You send the photos and clips you already have, and a line or two on what the video is for: year-end giving, volunteers, an event, the story in your 990.
  2. 2We write a one-minute script from what is on your site and in your filing, and send it for your yes.
  3. 3We make it within one week of getting your material: about a minute, wide and vertical, captions burnt in, and a text version for your site.

Up to five a year are in the plan, at no extra charge. The first five nonprofits can have one free: see the offer →

Sample video. Larkspur is invented, so it has no footage of its own: the clips are free stock (Pexels), no person appears anywhere (as on the site itself), and the narration is a synthetic voice. For a real organization connectNPO uses only the photos and clips its staff send.

Read the script instead (about one minute)

A painted door on the street between two shops. Stairs up, and the waiting room is the first door on the left.

In a crisis, call or text nine eight eight. That line sits above everything else, on every page.

Larkspur Family Counseling. Six licensed counselors, and fees that slide from thirty to a hundred and forty dollars a session.

The first step is a phone call. Nothing is written on a website, and nobody is asked why.

Right now, about three weeks from that call to a first session. The median is twenty-one days. The longest was thirty-eight.

Last year: four hundred and thirty people and families... five thousand nine hundred sessions.

Three in five sessions were billed below what they cost. The fee fund paid the difference. Sixty-one thousand dollars, so that nobody was turned away for money.

Sixty-eight percent were still coming after six sessions.

The wait, the groups and the filings are on the site. Gifts go to the fee fund first.

Sample video. Larkspur Family Counseling is invented and every figure is a sample. The clips are free stock (Pexels), no face is shown, the narration is a synthetic voice and the music is AI-generated. Made by connectNPO.
