Ashgrove HavenA sample domestic-violence services website. The organization is invented.
A domestic-violence program for one Oregon county: a 24-hour helpline, a shelter whose address is never published, legal and housing advocacy, six weekly groups, a thrift store. Fourteen staff, the largest of the fifteen, and a budget of about $1.4 million. The site is built to be left fast and to ask nothing about the person reading it.
- KindDomestic-violence services: helpline, shelter, advocacy, groups, a thrift store
- BudgetAbout $1.4 million; revenue $1,412,000 in FY2025
- Staff14, and about 40 trained volunteers
- Pages6; services, groups, the wishlist, store hours and roles staff-editable
- Look"Quiet exit": one narrow column, plum on pale lilac, a rose escape bar above everything
- Real? No. Every person, number and document is invented and labelled; no client, child or face anywhere

One name, one look, one voice.
Every sample has its own brand, set once and used the same way on every page, from the home page to the financials. It is the same work we do for your organization.
- A name and a wordmark, set in one display type
- Four or five colours, each with one job
- One type for reading, chosen for the people the site serves
- One line that says what the organization does, used in search, listings and the share preview
You can call now, and you do not have to say your name.
Six things to press, in order.
Each one is a working feature, and each one is an example of what we build. Nothing you do on the site is recorded.
Leave this site, and the Esc key
A bar fixed above every page. The button replaces the page with a weather site and opens nothing else; the Esc key does the same. Under it, a note that the visit may still be in the browser history, with the Hotline's advice and each browser's own page on clearing it.

A shelter without an address
Each service in two sentences, who it is for and how to reach it. The shelter has no address on the page, and the page says why: an address on a website is an address in a search result. Protective orders and safety planning are stated with their sources, never advised.

Groups with a state
Six weekly groups, one in Spanish, each with a day, a time and a state: open or full, the next start date, or rolling. The line at the top counts them from the records.

Volunteering with the forty hours stated
Roles with places open. The 40 hours of training that Oregon law asks of a certified advocate are stated with the statute, and the background check as the organization's own policy. The sign-up is in demo mode and asks for nothing about anyone's situation.

The wishlist, reordered by staff
Staff tick "needed this month" on one sheet and the Give page puts those items first. The thrift store's open-or-closed line comes from its hours sheet, and the drop-off request is a demo.

Restricted and unrestricted, in one line
Grant money can only be spent on what it was given for; a gift with no strings pays for whatever is needed that month. The year of $1.4 million adds up, every number has its method (6,840 bed-nights is 78% of 8,760), and the state grant is one paragraph beside three labelled 990s.

Sign in. No password. Nothing you change is saved.
The button below signs you in to the real staff area as sample staff. You see what the organization's staff would see: one menu, a tile per tool, and the checks.
- 01Tiles for Services, Support groups, Wishlist, Thrift store hours, Volunteer roles, Numbers, Financial documents, Year-end
- 02Checks: a service with no "how to reach it" line, no group open, nothing ticked "needed this month", store hours missing, every role full, a number with no method
- 03The order of the wishlist on the Give page is one tick per item on the staff sheet
- 04Press Update on anything and the screen says "Nothing was saved"

A quiet room, in a minute.
A sample of the one-minute videos in the plan: the helpline, the nights of shelter, and where the money went, told from its own numbers. No person is shown.
- 1You send the photos and clips you already have, and a line or two on what the video is for: year-end giving, volunteers, an event, the story in your 990.
- 2We write a one-minute script from what is on your site and in your filing, and send it for your yes.
- 3We make it within one week of getting your material: about a minute, wide and vertical, captions burnt in, and a text version for your site.
Up to five a year are in the plan, at no extra charge. The first five nonprofits can have one free: see the offer →
Sample video. Ashgrove Haven is invented, so it has no footage of its own: the clips are free stock (Pexels), no person appears anywhere (as on the site itself), and the narration is a synthetic voice. For a real organization connectNPO uses only the photos and clips its staff send.
Read the script instead (about one minute)
Morning, in a quiet room.
This is Ashgrove Haven: domestic-violence services for one county in Oregon.
A helpline answers at any hour. You can call now, and you do not have to say your name.
The National Domestic Violence Hotline is free, confidential, and open day and night: one, eight hundred, seven nine nine, seven two three three.
Ashgrove Haven runs a shelter whose address is nowhere public, and advocates who help with the next step, whatever it is.
In fiscal twenty twenty-five: six thousand, eight hundred and forty nights of shelter, and four thousand, one hundred and twenty helpline calls.
Two hundred and twelve protective-order petitions prepared with an advocate. Forty-one households helped into housing.
One million, three hundred and seventy-six thousand dollars was spent in the year. One million, two hundred and thirty thousand of it went to the programs.
One million, four hundred and twelve thousand came in. Most of it was grant money, tied to what it was given for. Gifts with no strings pay for whatever the month needs.
The three most recent 990s are on the site. Seventy-five dollars is one night of shelter.
National Domestic Violence Hotline 1-800-799-7233 · text START to 88788 · chat at thehotline.org · Free. Confidential. 24/7.
1,230,000 + 104,000 + 42,000 = 1,376,000 (Form 990, Part IX) · 914,000 restricted + 498,000 unrestricted = 1,412,000.
Sample video · Ashgrove Haven is invented and every figure is a sample. Clips are free stock (Pexels); no person appears, as on the site itself. The narration is a synthetic voice and the music is AI-generated. Made by connectNPO.
